Ateios is an early-stage startup developing next-generation batteries through rapid, custom manufacturing to improve the form-factor of wearables and the Internet of Things. Our R&D and product development are based out of state-of-the-art engineering facilities & headquarters located in Indiana where we are producing samples for customers. JOB DESCRIPTION

The Battery Engineering Internship program at Ateios is driven to recognize and develop emerging talent in the field. This program is intended to place the best students in positions where they will grow technically, professionally and personally through experience and working closely with their manager, mentor and team. Our interns will be able to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of the company’s operations.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Qualified applicants may be reviewed by one or more of the following teams:

  1. Battery Engineering
  2. Analytics/Software

REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently working towards a BS, MS, or advanced degree in a relevant engineering program such as Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as CATIA, Siemens NX, ANSYS SpaceClaim or SolidWorks
  • Experience in data analysis software such as Python, JMP, MATLAB, etc.
  • Proven interest in hands on engineering, through project teams, academic projects, passion projects or equivalent experiences
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn complicated procedures and methods
  • Ability to communicate experimental data in a concise and clear manner

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Able to adapt work schedule as needed by the team to achieve operations targets
  • Able to lift, push or pull up to 20 lbs
  • Able to work in a laboratory using glove boxes and fume hoods
  • Pass a respirator fit test and be able to wear respiratory protection every day
  • Wear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe safety shoes
  • Repetitive use of hands - light to forceful handling of material
