POSITION DESCRIPTION & ROLE

We are seeking a “go-getter" and motivated all-star to serve as the first VP of Operations in Indiana to work directly with our CEO (Dr. Rajan Kumar) and other senior team members to help lead and drive strategy, operations, and business goals across product, engineering, and growth.

The VP Operations role will be hands-on in directly partnering with the CEO and management team to organize and drive execution across the organization. You will serve as the epicenter to help advance strategic priorities, perform research and analysis, formulate, and evaluate organizational OKRs and provide better corporate visibility to the CEO and key stakeholders. You are in the details of the business and work to proactively identify and troubleshoot issues. You are working to help ensure smooth day-to-day operations and provide data-driven insights to help guide the business forward. You will work with a high level of autonomy, be visible across the company, and have room for growth beyond this role.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help design and implement business strategies
• Develop, refine or evolve current processes and systems that provide the platform for a smooth-running organization
• Ensure strategic alignment between Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, HR and Recruiting
• Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth and monitor/report on deliverables
• Manage Operational budget and annual planning
• Create and manage HR programs
• Promote company culture and vision
• Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives (IT, Marketing, Sales, Finance etc.)
• Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
• Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
• Communicate with the Board on behalf of the CEO
• Assist CEO in external stakeholder meetings
• Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.
• Manage relationships with partners/vendors
• Act as a brand ambassador and advocate of Ateios Systems

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

• 4-5+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams in fast-growing companies and/or management consulting
• Direct experience in hard tech and ability to learn how to read and write engineering language
• U.S. Citizenship due to ITAR restrictions is preferred
• Strong verbal/written communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
• Exceptional attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Comfortable wearing many hats; thinks and acts like an owner and senior executive
• Demonstrated ability to perform robust market research and deliver key observations
• A quick study who is constantly learning/seeking to learn about our space
• Skilled in performing analysis and creating presentations
• Comfortable performing detailed financial analyses and building financial models
• Experience in data analytics, compliance, and/or risk management (a plus)
• Demonstrated experience with change management
• Bachelors + MBA
